April's SOGI Snippet

SOGI Snippet

No one is too young for the topic of diversity and acceptance.

Human diversity already exists in the world, and it is something that our children are observing and wondering about from a very young age. Themes of romance, identity, gender, and belonging are integral to many kids’ books, movies, and games.

Trying to avoid or hide the existence of 2SLGBTQ+ people leads to confusion, but representing diverse characters and relationships in our learning resources like books and films can help kids understand the world around them in an age-appropriate way.
